The Hugh Symons Group is privately held and has recently completed a strategy of change to ensure its businesses are positioned - financially and competitively - to take advantage of their market opportunity. These changes include the sale of our cellular distribution division to The Carphone Warehouse and the divestment of our IT distribution and assembly businesses to Techsmart.
Voice and data communications - cellular and IP-based - technology are the cornerstones of Hugh Symons' future strategy. With relationships spanning business; health and education; and consumer markets Hugh Symons is placed to take full advantage of the latest wave of IP-based technology encompassing voice and data transfer terminating through mobile, audio and visual and ICT equipment. This strategy while attached to the sale and provision of hardware is largely solution and service centric.
Hugh Symons Information Management is one of the UK's leading scanning and microfilming bureaux, processing millions of images per month. The company was established in 1974 and provides a full range of scanning and microfilming bureau services from our Records Management Centres in Poole (head office), Bradford (northern head office) and Sidmouth.
Hugh Symons Communications is now owned by The Carphone Warehouse. We are specialist in the sale and provision of cellular airtime and hardware. Serving independent cellular resellers with all five networks we are proud to have been voted "Cellular Distributor of the Year in 2005" by the readers of mobile magazine.
